AMP8 complements the premium performance of the DX150 and the DX200, giving you even more choices when playing the music you enjoy.

The iBasso AMP8 is an amplifier board that can be combined with the iBasso DX150 or DX200 DAPs. This amplifier integrates a discrete symmetrical circuit with high voltage and output current. A high output current is very useful, for example, when using low impedance multi-membrane IEMs. For the design of this amplification circuit, low VCE transistors are used and manually sorted and paired to provide transparent and linear sound reproduction. The transistors used for the buffer have an output current of 2700mAh, allowing the AMP8 to be used with IEMs or headsets requiring a high current. On the output connector side, there is a symmetrical 4.4mm Pentaconn plug with a wide double contact zone for low resistance and therefore better current transmission.
Based on this observation, iBasso has chosen to use discrete components usually found in larger amplifiers. The design of the device is therefore more complex, but this method allows a higher current and output voltage to be achieved, while maintaining a low impedance and ensuring very good measurements.
The AMP8 follows this design model and can therefore accompany the iBasso DX 150 and DX200 DAPs so that you can enjoy your music to the full.
