Rock solid
The LA90 adopts a high-precision CNC-machined all-aluminum housing, providing the product with exquisite details and solid protection. The built-in giant heat sink provides reliable and fast heat dissipation for the LA90’s amplifier circuit.
Low distortion while outputting high power
The typical THD+N of the LA90 is 0.00007% @8ohms 10W, 0.00008% @4ohms 20W. This is already as low as an excellent DAC. It means a more accurate reproduction of the music source. The LA90 has a very wide working range with low distortion under load. Even in the commonly used 4ohms load 1W-60W output and 8ohms load 1W-40W output, the LA90 can control the distortion around 0.0001%.
Mono mode and stereo mode
The LA90 can be configured in a common stereo two-channel mode, or can be configured in a high-power mono mode. When using mono mode, the minimum load is 8 ohms.
Flexible volume control
You can control the volume on the LA90 or set it to bypass the volume control of the LA90, allowing you to use a better pre-amplifier for volume control. This is especially useful when synchronising the volume of two LA90s in mono mode.
Combining the LA90 with other TOPPING products
The LA90 can be used with the D90SE DAC, which is almost the lowest distortion DAC and amplifier combination.
When used as a pure power amplifier, the Pre90 pre-amplifier is recommended. The pre90 brings better volume control, remote control, more inputs and higher combination of 1 x Pre90 + 2 x LA90s can easily be achieved. When a headphone amplifier is required at the same time, it is recommended to use the LA90 with the A90 or A90 discrete. They not only provide the headphone amplifier, but also can be used as a pre-amplifier for the LA90. It is worth mentioning that the A90 Discrete also supports remote control and input expansion.
