Description
AudioQuest Thunderbird 48 HDMI Cable
The AudioQuest Thunderbird 48 HDMI Cable features 10% silver-plated copper conductors that have been direction-controlled for the most efficient dissipation of radio-frequency noise. To elevate it from Vodka, there is a high-loss graphene layer added to the carbon layer, sandwiched between layers of metal around the 4 FRL + eARC pairs, to further enhance noise-dissipation. A “global” high-loss carbon layer is placed around all conductors.
Sound first. While 8K and other compelling video/gaming features make the HDMI headlines, AudioQuest’s 48 and eARC-Priority Series HDMI cables are our best-sounding HDMI cables yet.
The greater precision and tighter manufacturing tolerances required to deliver HDMI cables that transfer up to 48Gbps bandwidth mean all of AudioQuest’s tried-and-true ingredients and techniques matter every bit as much as ever before.
Features
- Solid conductors prevent strand-interaction, a major source of dynamic distortion in cables.
- 10% Silver-Plating is applied to AudioQuest’s Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors to improve Noise-Dissipation.
- 10% Silver-Plating is applied to the high-quality copper base metal to improve Noise-Dissipation.
- To further reduce RF Noise, Level 5 Noise-Dissipation adds a Graphene layer to the Carbon-Mesh Network and Direction-Controlled conductors.
- This eARC conductor pair features Solid 10% Silver conductors and Level 5 Noise-Dissipation to ensure superior audio performance.
- Certified Ultra High Speed by HDMI Licensing, AudioQuest’s 48Gbps HDMI cables have the bandwidth required to support all HDMI-2.1 features.
- High-speed video resolutions render action sequences with lifelike clarity, brilliant color, and excellent dynamic contrasts.
AudioQuest ThunderBird 48 8K-10K 48Gbps HDMI cable combines superior materials and design to produce a superior entertainment experience.
The cable is meticulously designed for enhanced sound quality and outstanding overall performance, ThunderBird 48 features 10% Silver-Plated Copper conductors and drains with AQ’s Level-5 Noise Dissipation technology: high-loss graphene is added to the carbon layer sandwiched between layers of metal around the 4 FRL + eARC pairs, and a “global” high-loss carbon layer is placed around all conductors to further enhance noise-dissipation.
As with all AudioQuest 48G HDMI cables, they can transfer up to 10K Ultra HD video, support Dynamic HDR, and have the conductors and bandwidth required for eARC’s enhanced sonic capabilities. Taking performance even further, all 19 conductors, comprising A/V and eARC signals, all Ground-Reference drains, and control and power conductors, are properly controlled for the most efficient dissipation of RF Noise.
