Outstanding Image Quality in Well-Lit Spaces
Office and classroom projectors are normally used with the room lights on, so they need high brightness, powerful contrast, and accurate color to cut through with a clearly visible image. The PT-MZ882 Series has a refined optical engine that boosts light output over the previous series, Digital Light Control to optimize Dynamic Contrast performance, and Daylight View Basic to adjust image quality according to ambient room light. The result is well-balanced brightness and color with sharp and comfortable visibility, even in well-lit environments.
High 3,000,000:11 Dynamic Contrast
Input signals are analyzed frame by frame to regulate light output for the best contrast performance in every scene. In addition to accurately reproducing complex images that contain a mix of dark and bright hues, Dynamic Contrast is more energy efficient than previous technologies.
The projector’s high 3,000,000:11 contrast ratio enhances detail definition in shadows with deeper blacks, brighter whites, and more natural skin tones for an improved sense of depth and definition.
*1 Full On/Full Off, when [PICTURE MODE] is set to [DYNAMIC] and [DYNAMIC CONTRAST] is set to [1] or [2]. Measurement, measuring conditions, and method of notation all comply with ISO/IEC 21118: 2020 international standards. Value is the average of all products when shipped.
Daylight View Basic: Brilliant in Bright Rooms
Daylight View Basic is a dynamic adjustment technology that enhances image sharpness by clarifying detail definition in dark areas of the picture, which can be difficult to see in bright light. A sensor measures the ambient light in the room and optimizes sharpness, halftone color, contrast, and brightness for best results according to the room’s illumination.
Eco-Conscious Design Includes Recycled Materials
The light, compact, and eco-friendly PT-MZ882 Series offers remarkable efficiency improvements over the previous series and is holistically engineered to reduce environmental impact, including using 10% recycled resins for the main projector unit.
Bright and Sharp for Comfortable Viewing
Enjoy optimally balanced brightness and color for clear, well-saturated images in brightly lit rooms. With Dynamic Contrast, Daylight View Basic, and Detail Clarity Processor, the PT-MZ882 Series elevates communication in offices, classrooms, and hybrid spaces.
Streamlined Workflow and Smooth UX
Support for widescreen 21:9 aspect ratios suits conferencing layouts. A new posture detection function and optional powered lenses streamline installation, while three 4K signal and CEC command-compatible6 HDMI™ inputs conveniently expand connectivity.
Enhanced Brightness with Lower Consumption
Refinements to the optical engine yield higher brightness over every model in the previous series while significantly enhancing energy efficiency.
The PT-MZ882, for example, produces 8,200 lm with a max. consumption of 465 W compared to 8,000 lm at 490 W for the previous PT-MZ880 model, achieving a rating of 17.6 lm/W and an 8% efficiency improvement. Save on energy costs and reduce the carbon footprint of every unit in your fleet.
Lamp-free Laser Saves Resources and Waste
PT-MZ882 Series features a SOLID SHINE Laser light source that does not require maintenance until 20,000 hours.
By contrast, comparable lamp projectors need several lamp changes in an equivalent period, adding to maintenance costs, labor, downtime, and waste. Furthermore, laser projectors start up faster and can be switched off via the room breaker.
They reach full brightness almost instantly, maintain a consistent and uniform image for longer, and are inherently more reliable than lamp-based designs.
