Schneider Cine-Digitar 1.33x XL Stretch Anamorphic Lens – X Large
With an unmatched pedigree and history of manufacturing uncompromising lenses for the photographic and motion picture industry, Schneider is the world’s leading manufacturer of cinematic lenses. With four Academy Awards for Technological Achievement in the Motion Picture Industry, Schneider Kreuznach lead the industry in the production of optical lenses. Of particular interest to the home theatre industry is Schneider’s Cine-Digitar 1.33x Anamorphic lens that when integrated with an appropriate projector or video scaler, enables you to project 2.35:1 aspect ratio Cinemascope images without black bars. The resultant image utilises all of the pixels maintaining full resolution as well as using all of the available light output. Combining the Cine-Digitar with an automated sled, the lens system can be motorised in and out of position as necessary. Goodbye Black Bars!! Hello Cinemascope.
Consumer electronic technology has advanced far enough to make economical home cinema a reality. Schneider Optics provides a range of products to help create the highest-quality home theater systems possible.
Digital projectors with resolutions of 1920 x 1080 pixels are easily capable of producing an image 100″ or larger. These large and brilliant screen images bring the cinema experience directly into the home. There is an increasing amount of high resolution material available from broadcasters via satellite, cable, and digital over-the-air signals. For the true cinema lover, movies can be screened using either the HD-DVD or Blu-Ray disc format.
One of the last technical issues attenuating the true movie experience at home was the ability to display the ultra-wide, 2.35:1 Cinemascope® type image. New products available from Schneider Optics have addressed this problem. The viewer can now experience the incredible vistas that the cinematographer envisioned in a home cinema.
