Shanling MCD1.3 CD Player
The Shanling MCD1.3 CD Player houses a high-performance dual-core Ingenic X2000 processor. This chip is the first based on XBurst2 technology, which not only improves computing power, but also enables the device to start up quickly.
This processor is combined with a Philips SAA7824 decoder and a Sanyo DA11 playback head, offering excellent playback performance and high-quality sound reproduction.

AKM AK4499EX+ AK4191EQ chips
The Shanling MCD 1.3 is equipped with the AKM AK4499EX (DAC) and AK4191EQ (digital filter) chip combo. This enables it to support high-resolution streams up to PCM 32bit 768kHz, native DSD up to DSD512 and MQA/MQA-CD, with a distortion rate of less than 0.0005% (-122dB).
XMOS XU316 USB interface
The USB interface of Shanling MCD 1.3 is entrusted to an XMOS XU316 chip, providing transparent sound reproduction and support for high-resolution audio streams up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512.
Flexible digital outputs
The Shanling MCD1.3 incorporates three digital outputs, allowing it to be paired with a higher-performance DAC if required. The I2S output via HDMI is optimised using an FPGA and is directly compatible with 10 different HDMI I2S pinouts. Optical and coaxial outputs are also available for easy connection to a DAC.
Pre-amplification according to outputs
The Shanling MCD1.3 also incorporates different pre-amplification stages depending on the output, allowing the most appropriate amplification of the signal in all circumstances. The line output is powered by two soft-sounding OPA MUSES8920s, while the headphone output is powered by a more powerful, harder-sounding OPA TPA6120, capable of driving the vast majority of headphones.
