Description
TRIANGLE Borea BRA1 Dolby Effect Speakers
Thanks to their adjustable filtering on the TRIANGLE Borea BRA1 Dolby Effect Speakers, they can be used in the following ways:
- In vertical 3D effects: The speakers are placed on top of the main speakers*. The BRA1 are then oriented upwards and use the principle of reflection of sound waves.
- In horizontal effects: The speakers are placed on the rear and side walls thanks to their dedicated fixing system. The BRA1, with an inclined front, allows precise and direct targeting of sound waves towards the listener.
Create a high-performance home cinema system ranging from a 3.1.2 to 9.2.4 configuration, and enjoy clear, precise and dynamic sound, making the experience immersive and rich in emotions. The BRA1 speakers can be positioned on the BR03, BR07, BR08 and BR09 speakers from the Borea range.

Awards
BOREA range awarded with the EISA 2020-2021 PRIZE.
The entire Borea range was recognized by EISA expert as “Best buy home theatre speaker system”.
Since it launched in September 2019 the Borea range has received a warm welcome from the critics as well as customers. Numerous international Hi-Fi magazines have recognized its excellent performance as well its price / quality ratio.
Features
- Home Cinema Speaker
- 25mm (1″) EFS Tweeter
- 16cm (6,5″) Midwoofer
- Power Handling 80 W
- Single Terminal Block
BOREA SOUND SIGNATURE
The use of 21cm drivers makes it possible to extend the bandwidth in the low frequency register. However, the 25mm silk dome tweeter fitted with the waveguide (EFS Technology), as well as the midrange and its natural cellulose pulp membrane coupled with its small pleat suspension, remain unchanged.
The sound signature of the range is thus preserved, allowing a multitude of compositions, while ensuring a homogeneous tone.
HI-FI & HOME CINEMA VERSATILITY
The Borea BR10 is capable of reproducing a wide sound spectrum, giving it great versatility in terms of use.
Recommended for rooms larger than 30m2, it can also be used as a main speaker for your home cinema installations.
NEW GENERATION OF 8” DRIVERS
Unlike the rest of the speakers in this range, the BR10 features a 8” transducer for low frequencies. It uses the same basic principles as the other 6” bass drivers, with a membrane in fiberglass coupled with a powerful motor suitable for its volume load.
Fully developed by the R&D department of the French manufacturer, this driver benefits from a new basket designed for optimized ventilation, thus ensuring high power handling.
It also has a new half-roll rubber suspension to complement its motor, ensuring the speaker response is kept under control. The driver strongly reproduces each impact while leaving space for the vocal range, thus keeping an airy sound.
OPTIMIZED CROSSOVER
The BOREA BR10 speaker introduces a new architecture to the Borea range, with a separate crossover system offering various cabling and amplification options.
The low frequency crossover circuitry is completely isolated from the mid-high frequency. The jumpers simply need to be removed for bi-wiring or bi-amping.
DUAL TERMINAL
With bi-wiring, the cabling can be adapted to the frequencies being delivered, while with bi-amping, each register can be powered by a dedicated amplifier. Of course, it is possible to combine bi-amping and bi-wiring.
The BR10 is equipped with a dual terminal and can accommodate a 4mm2 cross-section cable or standard banana plugs.
DVAS SYSTEDVAS
(*Driver Vibration Absorption System) is a proprietary system unique to TRIANGLE. The BOREA floorstanders feature internal panels in MDF & EVA foam positioned against the bass drivers, stiffening the bass driver/cabinet unit.
This innovative concept reduces the vibratory behavior of the speaker and absorbs the vibrations generated by the movement of the bass drivers. The vibrations generated by the suspension of the membrane are greatly mitigated, the latter transmitting a low residual vibration to the cabinet.
It results in a better listening experience without any coloration or structure noise.
Specifications
Amplifier and Connectors
Power Handling : 80W
* The power handling of a speaker is the average continuous power that the speaker can accept without damaging the drivers. You can use an amplifier more powerful than the permissible speaker power by limiting the volume to 70% of the maximum capacity. Conversely, an amplifier that is too underpowered will clip and create distortion, which can also damage the speakers if it is used beyond its capacity.
Speaker Specifications
- Type : Effect speakers
- Crossover : 2 Ways
- Sensitivity (dB/W/m) : 89dB
- Bandwith (+/-3dB Hz) : 90Hz-22 000Hz
- Nominal impedance : 8Ω
- Minimum impedance : 4,5Ω
* The impedance of a speaker can be simplified as an electrical resistance. The lower is the impedance of the speaker, the more current the amplifier will have to deliver.
– Nominal impedance is measured at a frequency of 1kHz
– Minimum impedance is measured at low frequencies.
TRIANGLE loudspeakers never fall below 3 Ohms, which means they can be used with almost all Hi-Fi and Home Cinema amplifiers..
